Coronavirus Update

Due to the lockdown, I am now teaching all of my guitar students online. I have taught students online many times before, so this is not new to me. I have, however, switched to using Zoom rather than Skype as the platform has many great features that are beneficial to teaching online.

My big project last Summer was to hardwire my studio to the internet, specifically for teaching online. I am so glad that I did this!

The Claire Barker Band recently recorded a song with each of us recording our parts separately in our homes. Andy Cooper (keys) did an amazing job in putting together the final video. It is amazing what can be achieved with technology nowadays!

I look forward to the time when we can all play together once again. Until then, look out for more tracks coming soon.

So many events have been cancelled due to coronavirus and having a wedding cancelled is heartbreaking for all those involved. Many of my gigs are weddings and I feel so sorry for those who have had their special day cancelled.

Health is obviously the primary concern in these strange times, so I'm sure all the weddings will be even more magical once we all get through this global crisis.
